Springfield #186 All-City Theatre

Mission Statement

Through a unified approach of coming together, it is our goal to provide a theater arts opportunity for District #186 middle and high school students to experience the many aspects of performing and creating by challenging their minds, enhancing their creativity, and forming relationships.

The Springfield #186 All-City Theatre group was originated in 2004 in order to bring together all three Springfield District 186 high schools to present a musical in unison. Bob Mitchell, Maryna Mitchell, and Jen Wallner decided that strength is in numbers and saw the necessity to unify all these talented students. Music and theater allowed these students to join together as one unit instead of the usual across-town rivalry that occurs during sporting events.

All-City has produced the following events:
Footloose — September 24-25, 2004
Les Misérables: School Edition — August 1-3, 2008
Reel to Real: Where Broadway Meets the Big Screen — June 19-20, 2009
Cinderella — July 16-18, 2010

We have been privileged to receive funding for each of our productions from Springfield Public Schools Foundation grants.
