West Leads Senators

Jan 5, 2017 Springfield High School's Peyton West was a double winner in matches against Decatur MacArthur and Decatur Eisenhower Wednesday. West pinned MacArthur's Druex Kitson in one minute 25 seconds at 170 pounds. He defeated Eisenhower's Lamonte Williams for another win. He pinned Williams in 1:21. Lanphier lives up to No. 1 ranking, beats Lincoln

Jan 4, 2017 Lanphier High School received the No. 1 ranking in The Associated Press Class 3A boys basketball state poll Tuesday afternoon. Later in the evening, the Lions looked the part after defeating Central State Eight Conference foe Lincoln 57-41 at Lober-Nika Gymnasium. Lanphier improved to 12-0 overall and 5-0 in the CS8. Dec 30, 2016 PEKIN - Lanphier High School won its fourth Pekin Insurance Holiday Tournament title in five years on Thursday night, but none have been easier. From the game's opening minute, it was apparent that the Lions and Normal West were on different levels. And Lanphier proved that with a 64-19 running clock victory at the Dawdy Hawkins Gymnasium.
