Educators showing great promise who have taught in District 186 for four years or less

A committee of community members will determine which finalists will be named Educator and Administrator of the Year. The award recipients will be announced on May 11.
The Educator of the Year will receive $1,000, a crystal owl, and will represent the district at select events throughout the year. Four finalists will receive $250 and a crystal apple. The Administrator of the Year will receive $500 and a plaque, while the two finalists will receive $250. Rising Star recipients will receive $250.
2015 marks the 28th year for the Horace Mann Educator of the Year program and the third year for the Administrator of the Year award.
