Four new members have been named to the Springfield Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors.
Jack Elston (Illinois Department of Transportation), Nathan Hoffman (Illinois Chamber of Commerce), Wendy Mendenhall (Illinois Educators Credit Union) and Beth Moore (Horace Mann) will begin their three-year terms in July. The four new members join 19 returning board members and community leaders to continue the Foundation’s work in supporting District 186 schools.
“I’m excited about the experience and perspective that these new members bring to the table,” said Foundation Board President Mike Waldinger. “I’m also looking forward to supporting the classroom and extracurricular projects that provide such rich learning opportunities for our students. It’s going to be a great year.”
The Springfield Public Schools Foundation is a not-for-profit community-based organization, serving Springfield Public Schools for 33 years. It carries out its mission of creating a margin of excellence in partnership with District 186 and the Springfield community.
