Ink 186 was started in October of 2013 as a state-of-the-art collaboration between Springfield Public Schools and United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln. This unique partnership allows students to connect with an adult agency prior to graduation to allow for a seamless transition from high school.
Students attend a vocational training program at UCP as part of their school curriculum. Students learn different job skills and participate in the micro-business of designing and screen-printing items and packaging orders.
The program teaches the students different work tasks so that they are prepared for the transition to employment after high school.
