Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The training helps you identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses.  This 8-hour course is designed to help parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, peers and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18).  Please join us for this free event on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Pre-registration is required.  To register please call Mary Wyman at 217-525-3060.  

Topics covered include how to apply Mental Health First Aid strategies to anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychocis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD), and eating disorders.  Complete details on flyer.
