Lincoln Land

Lincoln Land offers a course called Introduction to Education that requires a 30-hour field experience with one teacher. This is an introductory course for students who are considering a career in teaching. Students may request any grade level and any content area including Fine Arts or Physical Education.
Requirements for cooperating teachers:
1. Hosting one student for 30 hours of field experience in the classroom. The student can do as much or as little as the cooperating teacher sees fit. Usually, the students get very involved.
2. The teacher has an hourly log to sign off on and a short evaluation to do at the end of the experience. The teacher goes over it with the student and gives it to the student.
3. Meet with the LLCC Education Field Experience Coordinator for a 15 minute conference in the host school at or toward the end of the experience to talk about the experience.
Cooperating Teachers will receive CPDUs for this experience.
