Mar 15, 2017 Springfield Ball Charter Students celebrated raising funds for the "Jump Rope for Heart/Hoops for Heart" fundraiser for the American Heart Association. 1st place for raising funds went to Olivia B., 2nd place went Tre J., 3rd place went to Parker S.
Mar 14, 2017 Harriet Tubman (Kathryn Harris) visited Upper Primary students at Ball Charter School today. She entertained and taught lessons about Ms. Tubman's involvement with the Underground Railroad.
Mar 13, 2017 Students at Ball Charter were able to raise $5328.31 for the American Heart Association. Any student raising $100 or more were able to select a teacher of their choice to pie. Approximately 26 students earned this privilege. Assembly will take place this Wednesday at 2:30p.m. In the gym.
Mar 8, 2017 Thank you to the Springfield Fire Department for coming out to help us practice our emergency disaster drill. After practice was finished, the firemen stayed to show off their equipment to the Primary students.
Mar 8, 2017 Pickles to Perch?? Students in Mrs. Hamrick’s 6th grade science class are working on dissection this week after wrapping up their unit on Vertebrates. Students start off by practicing using the tools and correct terminology on pickles! Then they switched to Perch!
Mar 2, 2017 Upper Primary and Primary students celebrated their achieving their IRLA 500 Reading Steps today. They joined together for buddy reading about Dr. Seuss and did Dr. Seuss activities. Congratulations to all and keep reading!
Mar 2, 2017 Ball Charter students were treated to a ukulele music performance by ML students They were accompanied Mr. Kinzer and Mr. Lynn. Mr. Kinzer received a grant from the Springfield Public Schools Foundation to purchase ukuleles for the school.
Mar 2, 2017 Mrs. Willenborg's Primary class had a lot to celebrate today. Not only was it Dr. Seuss' birthday, they were having their IRLA 500 step celebration. Students read "A Wocket In My Pocket" and made their own Wocket! Congratulations!
