Black Hawk Receives Academic Improvement Award

Black Hawk was one of 114 Illinois schools and one of four Springfield schools that received a congratulatory letter and certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education for demonstrating academic improvement over the last 2 years!

Criteria for this honor is as follows:
*Show improvement of at least 7.5 points in state test scores in both reading and math between 2010 & 2011, or
*Show an improvement of at least 15 points in state test scores in both reading and math between 2009 & 2011; and
*Show an upward trend in state test results

SMI/SRI - Scholastic Achiever Manager

This web site is designed to support the Scholastic math and reading inventories to test 4th and 5th grade students in math and reading. This data will be used to support learning in the classroom and to help with math placement in middle school.

Breakfast: 8:30 a.m.
Student Attendance Hours:
9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
2nd & 4th Grades lunch shift: 11:45am-12:30pm
3rd & 5th Grades lunch shift : 12:00 - 12:45pm
Kindergarten and 1st Grades lunch shift: 12:15pm - 1:00pm
Teacher Attendance Hours:
8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
