
Miss Letrice Ware 21st Century Site Director
Letrice Raaw’el Ware moved from the St. Louis area and became a volunteer and activist in the Springfield Community. She has worked with both regionally and nationally recognized groups, including: Americorp, Expressions in the Dark—The Network, Illinois Federation of Families, One in a Million, Springfield Urban League, Springfield YWCA, Habitat for Humanity and the Boys & Girls Club. Through Americorp, she completed two terms of 1500 hours of service in the community and received an educational award of over $2,500 in 2005 & again in 2009. In addition, she completed 500 hours of sweat equity and became a Habitat for Humanity homeowner in 2004.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a minor in African American Studies (University of Illinois at Springfield) & Associate in Liberal Studies (Lincoln Land Community College).
She is an author, a publisher and the owner or a business called RISE. She is also the mother of four sons who all are excelling academically.
Letrice is very passionate about children and their families experiencing quality education in a fun, safe and healthy manner.
