Yesterday Students had a blast during field day! They were able to play a variety of games which were manned by staff and 5th grade students. Thanks to Mr. Dabbs for putting this together at the last minute due to our initial plans being cancelled.
Yesterday The first and second graders performed a musical rendition of the story "The Pout-Pout Fish" by Deborah Diesen. Students used music and movement to bring the story to life.

Apr 22, 2016 Thursday April 21, 2016 was a great day at Black Hawk. The "Dudes" in the family came out early to spend time with their student while also playing fun educational games designed to improve math basic facts using dice.
Apr 12, 2016 At Black Hawk we conducted our second smoothie taste test of the year. During lunch all students were able to sample a 2 oz orange, strawberry and banana smoothie. This is one of our healthy eating plays through Fuel up to Play 60.
Apr 11, 2016 Black Hawk students were very fortunate to be invited to The Fuel Up to Play 60 Summit in St. Louis! Our school joined 275 students and advisors from Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois.
Mar 1, 2016 Black Hawk would like to thank Sly Hardy, a Lanphier graduate and IFBB Men's Physique Competitor for coming to our February's Heroes Breakfast. He is the only IFBB Professional Body Builder in Springfield. Sly is also a personal trainer Roesch’s Gym.
