At the end of he chapter we read a tip about hamsters being skillful escape artists who are very difficult to find. Why do you think the author tells us this about hamsters? What do you predict will happen as we continue to read.

To give the kids more tips about hamsters and what to do because Mrs.Brisbane will not even try to take care of any "RODENT".

I agree with you, Payton. Sometimes authors give us little hints about what is coming next. If you put the escape tip together with the fact his cage has a lock that doesn't lock, I think Humphrey will escape and cause everyone to worry about where he is.

I think the author tell us that we should take care of hamsters because she loves hamsters too. predict: I think humphrey will NOT get out of his cage because i think mrs.mac will MIGHT come back at the end of chapter 2.

Well that hamsters are skillful because they are smart they are fast and they help out problems at the house they are difficult to find because wants they get out they cage the only way to get them back is to leave a line of sun flower seed s to his cage put the rest in the cage.
