In keeping with tradition, Capital College Preparatory Academy scholars will make an end of the year campus visit. The overarching goal of the Academy is for 100 percent of our scholars to graduate from college. Accordingly, for scholars of the Academy it is not a question of “if” they will graduate from college, but rather “where” they will graduate from college. It is, therefore, important that our scholars begin to understand their options when it comes to college.
This year, scholars will visit Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal. Seventh grade scholars will make the trip to ISU on Tuesday, May 22, and sixth grade scholars will visit ISU on Thursday, May 24. This is a great opportunity for all scholars. Please be sure that your son or daughter submits his or her permission slip by the end of this week. We are also still in need of parent volunteers to chaperone classes at ISU. Please contact the Academy at 535-2752 if you are available to assist.
