5 days ago The ELC hosted our first Family Fun Friday of the year on October 4. Students were invited to bring a grow up to school for the day to see a typical day in the life of an ELC student.
Sep 20, 2019 The ELC hosted its first family event of the school year on Thursday, September 19, the Fall Festival Superhero Night. Entertainment for the evening included a performance by the Springfield Southeast High School Cheerleaders, a letter scavenger hunt, and lots of playground fun.
May 30, 2019 The students at the ELC had a fabulous day of outdoor learning on Thursday, May 30. Students enjoyed being outside on each playground and getting messy with various materials in sensory tables. The day also included a student run car wash, dance party on the courtyard, and face painting.
May 30, 2019 Horace Mann representative Tyler Mulhall awarded two ELC students for their outstanding attendance in the 18-19 school year. Grace and Zander were given light up scooters to take home and enjoy!
May 20, 2019 Horace Mann recognized two outstanding ELC staff members at a recent faculty meeting. Betsy Fuhrmann was given the Chrystal Apple Award and Deb Pierson was given the Mugs and Kisses Award.
May 20, 2019 Big Truck Day is an annual family celebration at the ELC. Students and their families are invited to view, tour, and test out the horns on trucks from the Springfield community. Community workers engage students in conversations about the work they do in support of our town.
