Join Enos Elementary School in the Celebration of Life for our Beloved Teacher Pam Wall!

July 13, 2017

Pam Wall was a dedicated teacher who always put the needs of others above her own. Her smile, laugh, and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Please read the obituary (as printed on Vancil-Murphy and in the SJ-R) below for details of her services.

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Pam Wall, 59, died unexpectedly on July 9, 2017, at St. John’s Hospital.

She was born December 28, 1957, in Granite City to Ray D. and Laura Wall, both of whom preceded her in death.

Pam grew up throughout central Illinois, but called Springfield home since the early 1970’s. She was a 1975 graduate of Springfield High School, attended Lincoln Land Community College and graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO in 1979 earning her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education.

Teaching was the only thing Pam ever wanted to do. She taught in Jamestown, MO, served as the director of KinderCare in Springfield and has been employed by Springfield School District 186 since 1998. Over the course of her career she touched the lives of hundreds of children. Pam was a charter member of Bells In Motion hand bell ensemble and served as the Bell Director at First Congregational Church. Her other passions included traveling, auctions and collecting baskets.

Survivors include her sister, Cindy Wall; several aunts, uncles and cousins; her Chihuahua, Lucy and a wealth of friends.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, Reverend Dan Dexter officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
