Today, students in Room 114 had a visit from Bob Murray of WTAX and the camera crew from News Channel 20. Mr. Murray read a story as a kick off to the “Gift of Reading” program sponsored by First Book of Springfield and Marine Bank. The program’s focus is to help put the joy of reading in children by putting a book into the hands of every Pre-K-2nd grade student by Winter Break. Mrs. Kelly’s class just happened to be selected as the classroom to help kick off this great program. Students also had the chance to measure Mr. Murray’s foot as part of their math curriculum. Please look for a news clip tonight on Fox news at 9p.m. or News Channel 20 at 10p.m..
