Nicole Solomon, 12, competed in the rising star singing competition inside the Opera House Sunday, July 14th, at the Heart of Illinois fair. Nicole, who lives with her family in Springfield Illinois, began to perform for others when she was 8 while singing for residents of nursing homes. Nicole is a student at Franklin Middle School.
