21st Century Program Shining Stars
At the beginning of fourth (4th) quarter during Enrichment Hour, the 21st Century Program students, faculty and staff at Graham Elementary School launched our Community Service Initiative. Accordingly, our students learned about responsibility, and that that there are times when we need to do something to help someone else. They have also learned about community and community service, and voted to raise money for the Central Illlinois Food Bank.
Community service sales to support Community Food Bank. Raffle for girl and boy baskets, jewelry, bookmarks, magnets, popcorn and lemonade and lanyards were all made by 21st Century Program students.
Shopping during "Power Hour"
In conjunction with raising funds to support the Central Illiniois Food Bank, our fourth (4th) and fifth (5) grade students volunteered at Kumler Outreach Ministries Food Pantry and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Presentations of entities that are under the umbrella of United Way were researched by the 21st Century Program fifth (5th) grade students.
The 21st Century Program, Community Service Initiative, began it's kick off with Kaleigh Friend, Central Illiniois Food Bank, Public Relations Manager, sharing information about the Central Illinois Food Bank with the 21st Century Program students.
21st Century Program, Community Service Initiative, raised $328.58 for the Central Illinois Food Bank. The donation presentation to Kaleigh Friend, Central Illiniois Food Bank, Public Relations Manager, took place on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 1:15 p.m. at Graham Elementary School.
