“A” Day

Good morning and welcome to Prime Time News!

Regular school hours begin: 8:00AM-2: 30PM!

After School Tutoring Program: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! Check schedule to see who is the teacher and what classroom.

Attention 8th Graders!
Don’t forget to sign up for the End of Year 8th grade trip to Chicago. Turn in money and permission slips to Mrs. Schroeder (room 217) or your Math teacher.
If your parent would like to chaperone, please see Mrs. Schroeder for a form. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis so don’t delay!

LUNCH: The gym is now open during lunch. On “A” days the girls will be allowed to go to the gym and on “B” days the boys.

Teachers: Students can go to their lockers: before school, after 2nd block, before/after lunch, and then after-school. You cannot go get pe clothes before; they need to be with you! A noon detention will be assigned if a student is at their locker w/out a pass.

Due to the potential health hazards of wearing silly bands, Grant has put a ban on the wearing of any of these bands in the school building at any time during the school day. Students are still allowed to wear the“Livestrong” wristbands or others like them.

CHEERLEADING: Practice: Saturday, November 5, 2011 10:00-12:00

GIRLS BASKETBALL:

8th Grade Practice:

7th & 6th Grade Practice: Practice tonight from 6:45-8:00 PM

6th Girls Basketball Team: Will play LMS/Ball Charter on Saturday, 11/5 at 8:00 am! All games are played at Ball Charter School.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Will open their season today with a home game against Blessed Sacrament at 4:00 PM. If you plan to attend the game you MUST be in school uniform! The cost is $2.00 for LL GMS students. Good luck to both teams.

6th Boys Basketball: Have practice on Friday, 11/4 from 2:30-4:00 PM. Will play LMS/Ball Charter on Saturday, 11/5 at 9:30 AM. All games are played at WMS.

IMSA: IMSA members students: Please turn in your permission slips for the field trip as soon as possible to Ms. Meneghetti or Mrs. Hoffman.

Also, the 1st meeting of the GMS Science Club "Earth Together" will have an informational meeting on Thursday, November 17th @ 2:30 in room 228(Meneghetti's classroom). We will be focusing on getting ideas for experiments, speakers, field trips and school projects!! Please attend if you are interested! (next 2 weeks)

IMSA students will be held Monday from 2:30-4:15. We will meet in the cafeteria to enjoy a snack and for attendance. See you today!

ART CLUB:

SHOW CHOIR: will meet from 2:30-4:00 every Thursday, unless otherwise noted on your schedules.

JAZZ BAND: every Wednesday from 2:30-4:00.

SCHOOL STORE: Attention Students: The School Store is in Room 205 - Mrs. Connolley's Room. Come before school or during your lunch to purchase paper, folders, pencils, pens, notebooks, glue, composition books, colored pencils, erasers, pencil lead and divider tabs. Most items sell between 25 cents and $2.50. The school store has stocked up on composition notebooks. The price is now 50 cents. Also, we have a limited supply of graph paper packs for math. They are $1.75. The store is in room 205 and is open before and after school and during lunch.

Cell phones, CD, I pods and toys are not allowed on in the building at any time. If you are caught they will be taken, turned into the office, parents notified and will be responsible to pick up said items.

BELTS: We have belts for sale in the main office. The cost is $2.00; see Ms. Mary before school to purchase a belt. Belt MUST BE a solid color only.
