"B" Day


Good morning and welcome to Prime Time News!

We are selling General Pride bracelets as a fundraiser for WEB. We have three colors, yellow, black and tie-dye on sale for $2.00.

MOVIE DATE: Monday, 12/22- for all students with no BOM for the month of November will be invited to watch a special movie. More details to follow later in the week.

Keep working on perfect attendance for the 2nd quarter. We will have special reward for all students who have not missed a day of school for the 2nd quarter.

Remember to bring your planners to class every day.

SPORTS:

BBB 7/8: The 7/8 boys have a game today, Wednesday, 12/17 against Jefferson M.S. at 3:30 at JMS. The boys have a home game on Thursday, 12/18 against Mt. Zion at 6:00 PM.
The 6BBB play WMS at 9:30 on Saturday 12/20 at Ball Charter.

CHEERLEADING: practice Thursday, 12/18, from 2:30-4.

VOLLEYBALL: 7/8 GVB - Volleyball Practice: Practice is today, Wednesday, 12/17: 7th grade - 2:30-4 and 8th grade 4-5:30.
Questions see Mr. Dworak or Miss Zimmers.

6GVB: - 6th Grade Volleyball will have practice this Saturday, December 20 from 10:30-12:30. This means that you must be on the floor ready for practice no later than 10:30. Mr. Hayes will be there by 10:15. Rides must pick you up at 12:30.
Questions see Mr. Hayes.

ACTIVITIES:

ART CLUB: to be announced as soon as Ms. Delong returns.

SHOW CHOIR: every Tuesday from 2:30-4:00 (questions see Ms. Bentsen).

JAZZ BAND: every Thursday from 2:30-4:00 (questions see Ms. Bentsen).

BETA CLUB: will be selling candy canes for the rest of the week on all three-lunch shifts. BETA members will be down by the cafeteria selling candy canes for 50 cents each. Thank you!!

Grant Middle Schools' tutoring is Monday through Thursday from 2:45 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

There will be no tutoring with Miss Zimmers after school on Tuesday's -due to volleyball practice.

Mrs. Ridings, and Mrs. Myers will be having tutoring in room 202 on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:40-4:00 for those students who are interested in improving their ISAT scores. Questions see Mrs. Ridings or Mrs. Myers in room 202.

ACTIVITY BUSES: We will have an activity bus running every night at 4:15pm.

School surveys were sent home with your progress reports. It is very important to us that your parents fill in this survey and get it back to our school. Anyone who has this survey can turn it in to a table in the lobby each morning until announcements are over. Each person turning in a survey will receive a certificate for a free $5.00 Kick's game card.

The gym will be open all three lunch shifts today.

BIRTHDAYS: look on list and announce names!

Play hitting. Even though we are playing, we are not allowed to touch other individuals at any time. This has been going on in the hallways and outside during lunch recess. Nothing positive can occur under these circumstances, so please abide by the hallway guidelines of keeping your hands and feet to yourself!

Hallway/ Restroom Expectations-

Rubber bands are not allowed at school at any time!

Cell phones, CD, I pods and toys are not allowed on in the building at any time. If you are caught they will be taken, turned into the office, parents notified and will be responsible to pick up said items.

Students cannot leave campus after-school and return it is too dangerous and not allowed. Anyone caught doing this will receive a PM detention for 1-½ hours cleaning windows, lockers ......

Please make sure you buy only what you can eat during lunch. Food/drink are not to be placed in lockers, this attracts rodents in the lockers. Snack passes MUST be shown to an administrator or adult before leaving the cafeteria with food that is not opened.

Remember: When you are in the cafeteria, no more than 10 students per table, pick up all your garbage, tray, raise your hand and push in your chair. Please deposit of your all your trash properly!

Going outside during lunch will require a coat/jacket to be outside! No excuses! Get your coat before you go to lunch, you cannot go back after you eat in the cafeteria.

BELTS: We have belts for sale in the main office. The cost is $2.00; see Ms. Mary before school to purchase a belt. Belt MUST BE a solid color only!

Shirts need to be tucked in at all times! This includes lunch. When you leave the building at the end of the day, you may untuck as you wish. NO SAGGING!
NO Baby Doll- sweaters allowed!
