Good morning Grant Middle School, today is Tuesday, February 12th- 2019. Today is a  “B “ day

 

Students  reminder that we have begun our spring fundraiser. Please try to sell at least one item from the Double Good popcorn order form. Turn in fundraiser $ to advisory teacher 

 

Teachers - please remember to handout progress reports today 

 

Order forms and money can be turned in immediately to Ms. Connolley in 121B or to your advisory teacher. Orders are due no later than Feb. 19th. 

 

Scholastic Bowl Practice Tuesday after school in Mrs. Buckles Room

 

Fan Bus for the State Championship game $10 to ride this includes the ticket to the game — students must have signed permission slips turned in by Wednesday after school — We must have 25 students in order to have order the bus. 

 

Teachers please remember to pay $2.00 for jeans week to Mrs. Silveri or Ms. Marsha — funds raised support the College / Career stairwell.

 

Reminder students school starts at 8:00 every day — the building opens for breakfast at 7:30 — Please be On Time and Ready to learn every day…. 

Tardy total challenge this week - remember the class with the lowest on Friday receives an extra 5 minutes of lunch on Monday or first day of week

8th 12 /  6th  18/   7th  21 — 

 

Reminder students the expectation in the hallway is to use appropriate language at all times— We are at school, be mindful of the language and respectful if corrected.

 

All 8th grade students will have their vision screened on Friday morning February 15th .  Screening will be held in the library.  Please make sure to wear your contacts and/or glasses if you have them.  - Thank you from the nurse  Mrs. Harding 

 

“Beta club is selling carnations until -Feb 14th during all lunch shifts for $1. Get one for your friend, your boyfriend/girlfriend, your favorite teacher, or for yourself. These will be delivered 6th hour on Valentine’s Day. 


 Valentine’s dance tickets go on sale until - Feb 15th during all lunch shifts. The theme this year is Valentine’s Masquerade. Tickets are $5: this includes a free mask handed out at the door, pizza, chips, cookie, and a drink. The dance is Feb 15th 6-7:30.”

Students must have 2 or fewer referrals and no suspensions this semester to attend.

 

The 8th grade field trip is currently full but we will have a waiting list. You may still turn in your permission slip and deposit to reserve your spot. In the case that you do not get to go, your deposit will be refunded. Students who are already signed up need to remain on their best behavior and have good grades in order to still attend. If you get referrals from now until the trip, you will not be able to go. Questions see Miss Gibbs.

 

— Students blankets from home are not allowed at Grant. Do not bring them to school  .

 

- Purses and fannypacks are NOT  allowed to be worn or taken to class at Grant middle school 

 

Students— This  Friday is a $2.00 out of dress code day — outfits / clothes must be school appropriate — no holes in jeans , no sagging , skirts must be appropriate length past fingertips with hands hanging at your side — all money raised is going towards our college career hallway in the center stairwell !!!

 

 

Reminder students to take a coat/ jacket / sweatshirt to lunch — students you may stay in the cafeteria but his is not required — once you go outside you stay outside— if you go to the library no food or drink is allowed 

 

Students this is  “our “ school, please show respect to building and grounds by using trash cans and doing your part to keep Grant looking it’s best and remember to be respectful of others property to and from school. 

 

 Reminder students the expectation at Grant is to keep your hands and feet to yourselves at all times during the school day and on the way to and home form school— This means no “Play Fighting "


 Students for your safety please only cross at the designated crosswalk areas
