Good morning Grant Middle School, today is Monday, August 19th  2019. 

 

Today is the first day of school to all of my 6th graders and new students Welcome to Grant — and to all my returning students welcome back and Happy New Year !

 

Boys baseball game Thursday vs WMS 3:30 @ Hobbs Field

 

Meet the Teacher Night - August 28th from 5:30 - 7:00— start in gym then parent follow schedule

 

Back to school dance Thursday , August 29th 2:30 - 4:00 — This will be an out of dress code day for $2.00 — payable in advisory that morning — The dance is $2.00 and we will have a concession stand selling snacks & drinks

 

 Reminder students school starts at 8:00 every day — the building opens for breakfast at 7:30 —  Here at Grant we are" On Time and Ready to Learn Every Day! "…. 

 

The following are daily reminders of behavior expectations and Grant rules:

 

Brushes , picks, combs, etc…. hair products are not allowed or too be used in class or hallways — Please keep in locker put away during the day.

 

Grant is a uniform school —advisory teachers please check students for uniform violations at this time  and remind them of the policy— Hoodies must be school issued, sport , club or activity or a state series competition from IESA 

 

Students the expectation in the hallway is to use appropriate language at all times— We are at school, be mindful of the language and respectful if corrected.

 

 - Purses and fanny packs are NOT  allowed to be worn or taken to class at Grant middle school 

 

 

 Students this is  “our “ school, please show respect to building and grounds, by using trash cans and doing your part to keep Grant looking it’s best. Remember to be respectful of others property to and from school. 

 

 The expectation at Grant is to keep your hands and feet to yourselves, at all times during the school day and on the way to and home from school— This means no “Play Fighting "


 Students for your safety please only cross at the designated crosswalk areas locate at Chatham Road / Stange & Amos 

 Would you please now rise for the Pledge of Allegiance!
