The Great Exchange

November 2, 2015

The Great Exchange is an event at which you can exchange a contribution to your child’s school for gently used clothing, household goods and other items.

There are two ways you can get a ticket for the event: (1) donate a box of tissues or a full-size bottle of hand sanitizer to the school for classroom use or (2) contact your child’s teacher about a way you can volunteer in the classroom or the school. Volunteer work must be completed by November 9th. Tissue and sanitizer donations may be given to your child’s teacher or brought to the event.

The Great Exchange will take place in Husky Arena on Thursday, November 12 from 5:30 “ 7:30 p.m. and Friday, November 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or until all items are claimed. While we can’t predict exactly what will be available at the event, possible items include such things as children’s and adult clothing, shoes, accessories, small appliances, dish ware, games, toys, books, movies, baby items and home décor.

Each ticket that you receive for your contributions to the school may be used at the Exchange to “purchase” up to ten items.

If you have any questions about the Great Exchange, please contact Merilyn Herbert Parent Educator at 217-525-3214
