Reading Olympics

Aug 27, 2012 At Hazel Dell, our academic foci for this year will be: 1. Improving the reading instruction delivered to our students, 2. Increasing our students’ reading comprehension, and 3. Raising the reading achievement of our students as demonstrated on the ISAT. We will provide several incentive programs that will encourage students to read for pleasure. Aug 4, 2012 Registration day officially kicks off the 2012-2013 academic year on Monday, August 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All families with elementary students must register their students on Monday, even if they are returning to the school. Jassmyne Lonski: An example of Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness

Oct 9, 2011 What would you do if you found $201? A Hazel Dell 3rd grader was faced with that choice recently. While seated at a cafeteria table during the morning SCOPE program, Jassmyne Lonski saw a wallet left on the table. No one else noticed the wallet, but Jassmyne chose to do the right thing and reported the stolen wallet to the SCOPE staff members, Marge Stokes and Mohammad Tahir. READ MORE

Family Health Fair

Oct 13, 2010 We will be having a Family Health Fair this Thursday night, October 14 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. This event is for all of our students’ family members. At this Family Health Fair our students’ families will have the opportunity to get about $200 in health screenings (including cholesterol, blood sugar, bone density, BMI, & blood pressure) FREE! There will also be a cooking demonstration with a medical doctor present to discuss healthy options for our students and families. READ MORE

RRK Kick Off Celebration
