Meet The Teacher Night

At Hazel Dell, our academic foci for this year will be:
1. Improving the reading instruction delivered to our students,
2. Increasing our students’ reading comprehension, and
3. Raising the reading achievement of our students as demonstrated on the ISAT.

We will provide several incentive programs that will encourage students to read for pleasure. One of the programs will be the Reading Olympics. Student progress will be monitored on a monthly basis, with the final prizes being awarded at the end of the year at our Family Picnic on May 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Please join us to celebrate the tremendous milestones necessary for students to receive Medals: Gold Medal = 100 books, Silver Medal = 80 books, and Bronze Medal = 60 books read independently during the 2012-2013 academic year.
