May 9, 2013 The Iles Annual Chess Tournament was held on Friday, May 10 from 5:30 to 9 pm in the Iles cafeteria. The tournament was open to any Iles third through eighth grader.

Apr 21, 2013 On Saturday, April 20 the PTO-sponsored Iles Celebrates! was held at Iles School. Iles Celebrates! is a tradition at Iles School in which we celebrate all of the great things that happen at our school and the wonderful students, parents and teachers who work there. We, especially, celebrate our diversity by imbibing in great ethnic food, participating in a raffle, making international crafts, and enjoying student and adult entertainment. READ MORE

Mar 5, 2013 In collaboration with Mr. Marcy, visual art and technology instructor, students created a poster that illustrates how graphic design is used as a form of communication. The students also learned about typography, a form of written communication that utilizes font design. Students word-processed their topic word using a font that they felt captured the essence of the word. Enjoy! Thanks Mr. Marcy for creating the posters and taking an art class to teach the kids about collages.
