Drop Everything and Read Day at JMS

May 13, 2013 On May 24th, the LA teachers will be passing out the Read 5 books that all our students are receiving from the district for the summer. Teachers will preview the books and give students the rest of the class to simply sit and enjoy reading their new books.

JMS Scholastic Reading Inventory Scores Increase 11% in One Year!

May 12, 2013 Upon looking at our building SRI data, some exciting news was discovered. At the beginning of the year 39% of our students were proficient or advanced in their reading skills, and now 50% of our students are proficient or advanced! An 11% increase in one year is great! We have all been working hard on literacy skills in all the content areas. Thank you to everyone for your hard work!!!

JMS Spring Fundraiser

Apr 16, 2013 JMS has kicked off our Spring Fundraiser! All information was sent home last week. Please take time to look over the flyers. There are numerous items available: jewelry, desserts, cookie dough, flower bulbs, soup, household items, pizza, candy, and so much more! All order forms and money must be turned in by April 22nd. The delivery date is May 20th.
