JMS Supports United Way!

October 5, 2014

Attention JMS Students:
Who wants to see a staff member get a pie in the face!?

Mr. Blunk giving too much homework?
Mr. Horton wouldn’t let you sleep in In-house?
Mr. Law makes you actually read in Language Arts?

Here is your chance to have fun at their expense, while helping a great cause.

The United Way is a charity organization that helps to raise awareness and funds for not just themselves, but also for a variety organizations.

Each fall the United Way does a large fundraising campaign through businesses and schools throughout the area. For the last few years, JMS staff and students have raised more money than any other District 186 school!!! This year to help us keep that title, we have several activities to allow you to help!!

Friday, October 3rd through Thursday, October 11th each day at lunch there will be containers with pictures of staff on them. You can bring in change to place in the container or containers of adults you would like to see get a pie in the face!! That’s right a pie in the face!

We will also be having an assembly at the end of the day Friday, October 11th where the pies and faces will meet! Those wishing to attend the assembly will be asked to make a $1 donation. This not only gets you in the door, it also gives you a chance to be one of the lucky students who will get to deliver a pie to the face of a staff member!
