At this time of year, there are increased illnesses like colds, flu and other viruses going around. Covering coughs and frequent hand washing will help prevent the spread of germs, but there are also times when staying home is best.
Please consider keeping your child at home if he or she has any of the following symptoms:
• Fever in the past 24 hours. A temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher is considered a fever.
• Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
• Severe coughing making it difficult for the child to breathe
• Sore throat with fever
