AVID students should sign up with Mrs. Stearns or Mr. Hemstock if they are planning on going bowling Sunday.

DRIVER'S ED NEWS
It is very important that all 8th grade students earn passing grades during their 8th grade year of school and meet the Illinois State Board of Education & Illinois Secretary of State's attendance requirements. If you do not, you will not be allowed to take Driver's Education in 9th grade. This will delay you receiving your permit and your license.

Bottom line ~ COME TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY! DO YOUR WORK & GET GOOD GRADES!!!!

BUDDY ROOM CONSEQUENCES
If you are sent out of the classroom to a buddy room on a day that we have a home game, you are NOT allowed to attend the game. This includes athletes.

If you have issues at a home game, you can be banned from any JMS extra-curricular activity including dances, skating, bowling, and end of the year field trips!

If you are sent to a buddy room by a guest teacher, you will receive 2 after-school detentions!

MRS. BORDERS WILL KISS A PIG!
In order to attend the "Kiss A Pig" & Dance Party USA on October 28th, you must have 91% total attendance for the school year, no referrals for the month of October, no suspensions for the month of October, and 2 or fewer Buddy Room visits during the month of October.

MATH NIGHT
Wednesday, October 20th from 5:30-7:30PM is Math Night! We will be playing fun math games & eating dinner. There will be lots of prizes for both students and parents. If you have not received your invitation, ask your math teacher! Please RSVP ASAP! Mark your calendars for FUN, FUN, FUN!

DRESS CODE
Remember ~ if you are wearing a long-sleeved shirt under your uniform polo shirt, the long-sleeved shirt must be the same color as your uniform polo shirt.

Also, if you wear a short-sleeved t-shirt under your uniform polo shirt and it is a different color than your uniform polo shirt, that t-shirt should not be showing at the bottom of your uniform polo nor should it be showing at the bottom of the sleeves of your uniform polo. Make sure you tuck in the t-shirt.

• No gum is allowed at JMS.
• No stretchy bracelets, rubber bands, or hair elastics should be worn on your wrists.
• We do NOT use the words SHUT UP at JMS!

PHYSICALS
Yippee!!! All JMS students needing physicals have either turned in their completed forms or have turned in doctor's notes. Great job!

BEHAVIOR
Please remember to lower the volume of your voice when you enter the school. Our halls have become much too loud lately. Also, at JMS we do NOT tolerate "just playing." Keep your hands, feet and other objects to yourself!

At JMS I will ....

Excellence
to show my Jaguar PRIDE!
