NATIONAL HUNGER & HOMELESS WEEK
This is National Hunger & Homeless Week. We will be having different activities all week to recognize this week.

6TH GRADE GIRLS' NIGHT OUT
Attention all 6th grade girls ~ Come join us for a fun Girls' Night Out!

When: Friday night from 6-9PM
Where: Jefferson Middle School
Cost: $10

There will be pizza and snacks. You will be able to make things like lip gloss. There will be an engineering challenge. You will be able to play video games and board games. The movie Hannah Montana will also be shown. Don't be left out ~ come have fun!

BLEACHERS
It has been brought to our attention that it is a safety issue having students sitting on the closed bleachers in the gym. Please DO NOT sit on the closed bleachers. If you are not involved in an activity in the gym and need to sit down, you will have to sit on the floor — not on the bleachers or the stage.

GUEST TEACHERS
At JMS, adults are in charge. When you have a guest teacher, you are expected to be respectful and helpful. Disrespect will not be tolerated.

DONUTS WITH DAD
8th grade Donuts with Dad will by held Thursday, November 19th.

JMS CRAFT FAIR
Jefferson will be holding a craft fair on Saturday, November 21st from 8AM - Noon. Ask your parents to clean out closets and bring in gently used items.

RIDES HOME
If you do not have a confirmed ride home from after-school activities ~ meaning your own parent or guardian has made arrangements to pick yp up on time from scheduled activities ~ then do not attend! Students without adequate transportation will be banned from attending all after-school activities. This includes participants/players and spectators!

BUDDY ROOMS
If you are removed from a classroom and are taken to a Buddy Room, you will not be allowed to participate in or attend school basketball games.

SCHOOL STORE
The JMS School Store is open! Come to the main lobby before school and purchase school supplies.

SNACK ATTACK STORE
The Snack Attack Store is in the main lobby for after school before you board the buses. Each snack will cost $1.

HALLWAY SWEEPS
In order to cut down on the number of students arriving tardy to class, we will continue having hallway sweeps this week. Once the tardy bell has rung, if you are not in class, you will be swept and consequences will be issued.

DRESS CODE
Just a reminder ~ Shorts or capris are no longer allowed as uniform choices until next spring. Also, you may not wear a long-sleeved shirt under your short-sleeved uniform shirt. Girls ~ You may not tie your shirt in the back!

You will no longer be allowed to wear colored plastic wrist bracelets at JMS. The colors of the bracelets carry meanings that are not acceptable for our school environment. Consequences will be issued to those who continue to wear the bracelets. Also, you may not wear ponytail elastic bands on your wrists.

Remember our school expectations:
Respect Yourself • Respect Others • Respect Property
