TARDIES
There have been many, many students lingering in the halls after the tardy bell rings. Students ~ you have a 3 minute passing period that gives you ample time to get to your next class. Get to class on time!

TODAY IN HISTORY
On this day in 1978, boxer Muhammad Ali defeated Leon Spinks to win the world heavyweight boxing title. This was the third heavyweight title Ali had won. He became the very first fighter to ever win three heavyweight titles.

PHYSICALS
• All 6th grade students need to have a physical in order to remain in school.

JMS SHIRTS 7TH GRADE SPIRIT DAY
7th grade students ~ Your Spirit Day will be Thursday! NO JEANS! You must wear your uniform pant or shorts. Also, the t-shirts may not be altered in any way ~ for example, no cutting of the sleeves, neck or sides. Shirts are still available for $12. See Ms. Wright in room 206 to purchase a shirt.

SCHOOL STORE
The JMS School Store is open! Come to the main lobby before school and purchase school supplies.

SNACK ATTACK STORE
The Snack Attack Store is in the main lobby for after school before you board the buses. Each snack will cost $1.

BACK TO SCHOOL FUNDRAISER
Any fundraiser order forms and money must be turned in to Mrs. P. in room 109 as soon as possible.

As it stands now, our 1st place seller sold $392 worth of products; 2nd place sold $321 worth of products; and 3rd place sold $317 worth of products. If you think you sold more than those students, please let Ms. Nelson know as soon as possible so prizes can be awarded.

SPORTS
Cheerleading ~ Cheerleading tryouts will be Wednesday & Thursday of this week. Pick up information in room 123. Please wear a t-shirt, shorts, socks, & tennis shoes. There will be an activity bus at 4PM.

JSO
Come & join JSO ~ Jefferson Service Organization! Our first meeting will be held today after school in Mrs. Huffman's room, room 113. We'll be discussing our projects for this school year. There will be an activity bus.

AVID HOMEWORK CLUB
AVID Homework Club will meet today in room 222 from 2:30-4PM. Come ready to work! There will be an activity bus.

BAND
All band students should report to room 122 for a brief meeting at 9AM today.

SHOW CHOIR
There will be a show choir meeting on Thursday after school from 2:40-4PM for all past members and interested students. Go to room 122 immediately after school.

YEARBOOK CLUB
Yearbook Club will have its first meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17th from 2:30-4PM in room 115. For questions or more information, see Ms. J-C in room 115.

YEARBOOK CLUB FUNDRAISER
Help support the JMS Yearbook Club by going to Burger King!
WHEN: Thursday, September 24th from 5-8PM
WHERE: 2900 S. 6th Street
Simply print out the coupon from the JMS homepage and Burger King will donate 20% of your purchase to the Yearbook Club. For more information, please see Ms. J-C in room 115.
