We'd like to take this time to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! School is dismissed at 1:30PM today. Enjoy your 4-day weekend.

TODAY IN HISTORY
On this day in 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a bill officially establishing the fourth Thursday in November as Thanksgiving Day. Happy Thanksgiving!

CAFETERIA
Main Entree: Chili Cheese Dogs; Au Gratin Potatoes; Corn-on-the-Cob

Please remember to take a jacket with you to lunch. It is getting cold outside and you are not allowed to go back to your locker after you eat.

You must eat or drink all snacks before you leave the cafeteria. Nothing is allowed outside! Clean up after yourself in the cafeteria.

Students ~ You must sit on the correct side of the cafeteria. Lunch detentions will be given if you are on the wrong side!

YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks are on sale. The cost is $23. Bring a check made payable to Jefferson Middle School or cash to Mr. Battles in the main office to place your order.

SPORTS NEWS
7th/8th grade volleyball ~ Tryouts will be the week of December 1st-5th from 2:30-4PM. 7th grade will be Monday & Tuesday. 8th grade will be Wednesday & Thursday. Friday's times will be announced later.

7th/8th grade boys basketball ~ 7th & 8th grade teams won their games last night! Congratulations to those who scored:

BETA CLUB
Please support the Salvation Army Canned Food Drive! Win a pizza party for your class! The class that brings in the most food per student wins. Start bringing your canned goods and non-perishable items on December 1st. Take them to your 1st hour teacher unless you have a 1st hour elective class. We will be accepting canned goods through December 15th.

ATTENDANCE
It is very important that you come to school everyday! Come to school and be prepared to learn each and every day of the school year. We need to maintain at least a 90% attendance rate for meeting AYP.

SECURITY
We have a new security person in the building. You may have seen him already. His name is Mr. Stepney. He will be here all next week.

PBIS/BIST NEWS
Don't forget to turn in your PRIDE cards for prizes! There will be another "Out of the Blue" day soon.

GUEST TEACHERS
Whenever you have a guest teacher, you are to show him/her the same respect as you would your regular teacher. The guest teacher knows the BIST procedures. If you are asked to go to the Safe Seat, you must move to the Safe Seat. If you must be removed from the classroom, you will be escorted to room 109 and issued two after-school detentions.
