TODAY IN HISTORY
On this day in 1963, President John F. Kennedy was laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Kennedy had been assassinated while riding in an open-car motorcade through the streets of Dallas.

Please remember to take a jacket with you to lunch. It is getting cold outside and you are not allowed to go back to your locker after you eat.

You must eat or drink all snacks before you leave the cafeteria. Nothing is allowed outside! Clean up after yourself in the cafeteria.

Students ~ You must sit on the correct side of the cafeteria. Lunch detentions will be given if you are on the wrong side!

YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks are on sale. The cost is $23. Bring a check made payable to Jefferson Middle School or cash to Mr. Battles in the main office to place your order.

2ND QUARTER GRADES
Teachers ~ please have your 2nd quarter progress report grades entered by noon today.

SPORTS NEWS
7th/8th grade volleyball ~ Tryouts will be the week of December 1st-5th from 2:30-4PM. 7th grade will be Monday & Tuesday. 8th grade will be Wednesday & Thursday. Friday's times will be announced later.

There will be an open gym Tuesday, November 25th, from 5-6:30PM for any 7th or 8th grade girls wanting to tryout for volleyball. This is not mandatory. You may not stay after school. You must go home at 2:30PM and then return at 5PM prepared to plaly. Your ride must be here to pick you up by 6:30PM!

SHOW CHOIR
Show Choir & 8th Grade Choir ~ Don't forget to bring your t-shirts for the Festival of Trees performance tomorrow. You must also have a signed permission slip — no notes or phone calls will be accepted.
BETA CLUB
Please support the Salvation Army Canned Food Drive! Win a pizza party for your class! The class that brings in the most food per student wins. Start bringing your canned goods and non-perishable items on December 1st. Take them to your 1st hour teacher unless you have a 1st hour elective class. We will be accepting canned goods through December 15th.

ATTENDANCE
It is very important that you come to school everyday! Come to school and be prepared to learn each and every day of the school year. We need to maintain at least a 90% attendance rate for meeting AYP.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS
If you have moved, please be sure to give all of your new information to Mrs. Frye in the Guidance Office.

TARDY
Students ~ Please be mindful of getting to class on time. do not dilly dally around in the hall. You have 3 minutes to hurry to class. You are not allowed to go to your locker between classes. If you are dropping off your computer before going to lunch, you are not allowed to go to the cafeteria early. Stay in that classroom until the dismissal bell rings.

PTC FUNDRAISER DELIVERY
The PTC butter braids and candles are scheduled for delivery today after school. If you have a large order, make sure you have made transportation arrangements.

PASSES
No passes should be issued during class time! If students are found in the hallway, they will be escorted back to your room.

PBIS/BIST NEWS
Don't forget to turn in your PRIDE cards for prizes! There will be another "Out of the Blue" day soon.

GUEST TEACHERS
Whenever you have a guest teacher, you are to show him/her the same respect as you would your regular teacher. The guest teacher knows the BIST procedures. If you are asked to go to the Safe Seat, you must move to the Safe Seat. If you must be removed from the classroom, you will be escorted to room 109 and issued two after-school detentions.
