Respect yourself. • Respect others. • Respect property.
Remember: It is not ok to disrupt class. It is not ok to be hurtful to others!
Keep your hands, feet & other objects to yourself!
Sadly, on this date 40 years ago, April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee.
When the 5 minute bell rings in the morning, you are to go to your 1st hour class. Many students are loitering in the halls long after the 8AM bell rings. The tardy policy will be enforced for all hours of the day and for all classes. THIS INCLUDES GYM CLASSES.
Main Entree: BBQ Riblets; French Fries; Corn; Beef & Noodles
Monday's breakfast will be biscuits with jelly and lunch will be Spicey Chicken, French Fries, & Broccoli.
Reminder ~ any salad dressing or hot sauce sold without a salad will cost 25¢.
SHORTS & CAPRIS
Shorts & capris cannot be worn until May 1st!
Today is the last day for orders for 8th grade t-shirts. See Mrs. Johnson in the morning by the cafeteria or in room 210 at lunch.
All students who have perfect attendance during the month of April will have their names entered in a special drawing. There will be 2 iPods given away as the prizes!
Be sure to turn in your March service hours ASAP!
Congratulations to the 'B' team on their win yesterday!
In order for 6th or 7th grade students to have the privilege of taking home their laptop, parents or guardians are required to attend a District 186 information session. Laptop information sessions, designed and presented by District 186 technology officials, will be held on April 10th at Jefferson Middle School and April 17th at Washington Middle School from 5:30-6:30PM. It does not matter which session you choose to attend.
•• Proof of Insurance Required ••
Insurance information will be available at both meetings for those that need to inquire about a policy or need to secure a policy.
During 3rd hour next Tuesday, we will have a practice tornado drill. Please be quiet in the halls and listen for instructions!
This is a reminder to ALL students to keep their hands to themselves while at school.
• Students — please be in your seat when the tardy bell rings!
• Hallway behavior is very important. If you run, hit, curse, etc. in the halls, you will receive an after-school detention for 1 1/2 hours. You will also receive one if you roam the halls during class time.
• BIST ~ Teachers are only going to redirect you once! After that, if you do not follow proper classroom procedures, you will be asked to move to the "Safe Seat" in the classroom. Please move to the Safe Seat without arguing. There will be consequences for being sent out of the classroom to a Buddy Room or Recovery.
If you are asked to go to the Safe Seat and you refuse, you will receive at least 2 after-school detentions!
Guest teachers are aware of our BIST procedures. Please respect our guest teachers.
Remember our school expectations:
Respect Yourself • Respect Others • Respect Property
READING COMPREHENSION IS OUR FOCUS!
