8th grade ~ when you come in from lunch, please do not go into the gym. There is a 6th grade gym class in the gym that hour and you are disrupting the class.

BAND/CHOIR NEWS
J-Jazz members will be singing the National Anthem tonight at our Honors' Night ceremony. Please be at Southeast High School by 6:45 PM. We will sing at 7:05 PM.

HONORS' NIGHT
Tonight is Jefferson's Honors' Night at Southeast High School's auditorium at 7 PM. This is a night to recognize students for academic achievements and excellence. Students who will receive an award should have received an invitation in the mail at home.

HISTORY HONORS
If you see Rachel Murphy, April O'Reilly or Myles Crisp in the halls today, congratulate them for finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Elks' Club patriotism essay contest! All three will be recognized tonight at the Elks' meeting where Rachel will receive a $100 savings bond. Rachel also finished 2nd in the District competition. Congratulations!

PERMISSION SLIPS
Students ~ remember that your money and permission slips are due Friday for the end of the year field trips!

LOST BOOKS
Please return all library books this week. This includes books checked out from the library as well as book basket books. Fines notices are being prepared and will be sent out soon. Return those books now and there will be no fine or penalty!

8TH GRADE DANCE
The 8th grade end of the year dance will be held Friday from 6 - 8 PM. There will be a cook-out at 5:30 PM. The dance will follow. This dance is for JMS 8th grade students only!
