MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS:

PIERCINGS & SUNGLASSES
Students ~ it is a District policy that pierced jewelry other than earrings may not be worn at school. You may not wear nose or tongue rings/studs.

Sunglasses may not be worn in school. You may wear them outside but not in the school or in the classroom. Please keep them in your locker!

CAFETERIA NEWS
Main Entree: Gyros & Au Gratin Potatoes
A la Carte: Cheese Sauce

There should be no chips or drinks outside of the cafeteria. You must finish your drinks and snacks before you go outside. If you choose to continue to break this rule, the vending machines will be shut off for your grade level!

BAND
6th grade band will meet tomorrow during 3rd hour.

J-Jazz will practice today after school.

TRACK
There is a track meet in Taylorville today. Track athletes will be excused from class by an announcement at 2:20 PM.

SPRING PICTURES
Spring pictures will be taken Friday, April 27th. You will be wearing your uniform for these pictures.

LLCC SCHOLARSHIP
8th grade students ~ the Lincoln Land Community College scholarship application is due by April 20th.

YEARBOOKS
Buy your yearbooks now! You'll never regret it when you're 75 ~ all of those special JMS memories for the low price of $25.

LANPHIER POM TRYOUTS
There will be a meeting today for those 8th grade girls interested in trying out for Lanphier poms at 5:30 PM in Coach Thompson's room. For more information, call Mrs. Thompson at 525-3080 ext. 142.

SSHS GIRLS BASKETBALL
The coach for the Southeast girls basketball team will be meeting with any interested 6th, 7th, or 8th girls during lunch shifts on Tuesday, April 24th.

READING RECOGNITION
Students from Mrs. Beebe's SSRW class were given the opportunity to vote on the book to be chosen as this year's Rebecca Caudill winner. In order to vote, each student had to read at least 3 books that were on the list. 13 students from this class read three or more books and voted. They are:
