Morning Announcements:
Teachers ~ Please check to make sure all students are dressed appropriately. No hoodies are allowed in the classroom. T-shirts under uniform shirts should be white or the same color as the uniform shirt.

Disrespect
Students: there is a tremendous amount of disrespect being shown in the hallways and the classrooms. This disrespect is being directed toward each other and adults. This behavior will not be tolerated. Please remember that swearing at school is not acceptable. Watch your language!

Vision Testing
During 2nd & 3rd hours today, some students will have their vision checked. Teachers, please refer to the list that was placed in your mailbox.

Cafeteria News
Main Entree: Turkey & Noodles with Roll, Corn, and Sugar Cookie
A la Carte: Open for 6th & 7th grade only!

Band
6th grade band will meet today during 3rd hour.

J-Jazz will practice tomorrow after school.

Volleyball
6th grade volleyball practice time has changed! Practice will be tomorrow from 4 - 5 PM. DO NOT MISS IT! See Mrs. Wagner if you have any questions.

Beta Club Can Drive
There will be a contest between every 1st hour class to see which class can bring in the most canned goods. Bring in non-perishable food items to your 1st hour class. Kulavic's team should bring the items to 2nd hour. Beta Club members will come around and get the canned goods daily. By the end of the week, we will tally up cans. The winning classroom wins a pizza party! Start bringing in cans!

PTC Hat Day
The JMS PTC is sponsoring a Hat Day on Thursday, December 21st. If you bring $1, you may wear your favorite hat all day! PTC members will be collecting the money as students enter the building Thursday.

Silly String
21st Century will be selling string cheese for 50ยข during all lunch shifts. The profits will be used to support our troops by buying Silly String. Silly String is being used by the military in Iraq to help detect trip wires on bombs.

PRIDE
Congratulations to the following students! Your PRIDE card has been drawn for a prize that you may pick up after school in the main office.

A big congratulations to the 40 lucky students who were chosen for our Secret Santa Out of the Blue Day! Happy holidays to all!

Dress Code
If you choose to come to school out of dress code, you will be issued an after school detention from 2:30-4 PM. For each hour of class that you miss because of being out of dress code, you will be issued an additional after school detention. You could possibly end up with 7 after school detentions!

Teachers — if there is a student in violation of the dress code, please fill out a minor referral and call for an escort to room 110.
