Morning Announcements:
• Report Cards ~ Parent/Teacher Conferences
All students will receive a report card on Thursday which will be a 1:30 PM dismissal day. Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday from 5 - 8 PM and Friday from 8 - 2:30 PM. There is no school on Friday. Please tell your parents to come to conferences.

• Cafeteria News
Main Entree: Chicken Strips; Mashed Potatoes & Gravy

A la Carte: Chips, Drinks, & Mozzy Sticks with Sauce for $1

Reminder: No flavored water, sport drink, or juice drinks will be allowed into the building after lunch!

• Book Fair
We will be having a Book Fair in the library starting today. It will continue throughout the week. You may come to the library to look at and purchase books during your lunch period. The Book Fair will be open during Parent/Teacher conferences.

• Band/Music News
6th Grade Band: 1st hour - trombone & baritone; 3rd hour - clarinets

6th Grade Band Wednesday: 3rd hour - saxophones

8th Grade Reminder: come to the band room Wednesday morning 1st hour for rehearsal.

J-Jazz Band will practice today after school as soon as possible. Go to your locker first.

• 1st - 4th Hour PE
1st through 4th hour PE students will report to the cafeteria with a book to read or homework to complete this morning.

• Basketball News
6th grade boys basketball try-outs will be tonight from 5-6 PM.

7th & 8th grade boys basketball will have practice today from 4-5 PM.

7th & 8th grade girls basketball team will practice today from 2:30-4 PM.

• Boo Grams
Buy a Boo gram and send your friends a "special" message. They will be delivered on Halloween afternoon. You can send 1 for 50ยข or 3 for $1. See your teacher to purchase the "Boo" grams. Make sure to put your friend's name [first & last] and their 7th hour teacher on them.

• Red Ribbon Week
Today is sticker day. Everyone will receive a "I pledge to be drug free" sticker.

It's Dumb to Use Drugs
Be sure to put in your guess for how many suckers are in the jar. Entries should be placed in the box in the main office. The person who comes closest to the correct number of suckers in the jar will win the entire jar of suckers!

• Dress Code
Students — you may not wear shorts or capris now as a part of your uniform.

T-shirts worn beneath your polo shirt must be either white or the same color as your polo shirt. No exceptions! No long sleeved shirts are to be worn under your short sleeved polo shirt. You may not wear hoodies.

No pins are to be worn over logos on your polo shirt. Your polo shirt should not have any logos or emblems.

Also, sweat pants & cargo pants are not allowed as part of Jefferson's dress code! Cargo pants are defined as any pants that have zippers or pockets down the legs.

No more free uniforms will be issued from the main office! Sweatshirts are now on sale for $10 each.

Teachers — if there is a student in violation of the dress code, please fill out a minor referral and call for an escort to room 110.
