Morning Announcements:
• Cafeteria News
Students — please remember to sit on the appropriate side of the cafeteria during your lunch period! Mrs. Gordy and Mrs. Lawrence will be writing detentions for those that choose to sit on the wrong side of the cafeteria.

Main Entree: Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, and Corn

Reminder: No flavored water, sport drink, or juice drinks will be allowed into the building after lunch!

• PE Classes
Morning PE classes should report to the cafeteria.

• Picture Day
Today is picture day. Everyone must have their picture taken for the yearbook even if you do not want to order any pictures. Bring your order form & money if you want to buy any pictures. We will be calling students down by alphabetical order. 6th grade will be first. Please listen for the announcements throughout the morning.

• Cheerleading
Reminder: Tryouts are Monday at 2:30. Don't forget to sign unp outside of room 103.

• Math Counts
Any 7th or 8th grade student interested in joining Math Counts [a competitive math club] please meet after school today, Thursday, in room 215.

• Band/Music News
6th Grade Band: 1st hour - clarinets & saxes; 3rd hour - flutes

2 sweatshirts - a blue one and a gray one - were left in the band room after J-Jazz practice yesterday.

Congratulations to the 6 students who went to IMEA auditions — Brad Bayles, Elissa Marsh, Patrick Tazelaar, Amy Nutaut, Danielle Goodpasture, & Alexis Gallamore. Special congratulations to the 2 who will represent JMS at the All District Concert in Macomb at WIU on November 11th — Patrick Tazelaar & Elissa Marsh. Great job!

• Festival of Trees
The following students need to meet in room 118 today right after school to work on Festival of Trees:

You must arrange to be picked up by 4:15 or take the activity bus home. If you can't make arrangements for a ride, please don't stay.

• Dress Code
Students — T-shirts worn beneath your polo shirt must be either white or the same color as your polo shirt. No exceptions!

Also, sweat pants & cargo pants are not allowed as part of Jefferson's dress code!

No more free uniforms will be issued from the main office! Sweatshirts are now on sale for $10 each.

Teachers — if there is a student in violation of the dress code, please fill out a minor referral and call for an escort to room 110.
