Students — please remember to sit on the appropriate side of the cafeteria during your lunch period! Mrs. Gordy and Mrs. Lawrence will be writing detentions for those that choose to sit on the wrong side of the cafeteria.

Imani Akuoko is the lucky winner in the "Find the Jaguar" contest this week. Imani found the jaguar with the poster of the Cafeteria Expectations.

• Band/Music News
6th grade band students who signed up for band and have not been coming, if you wish to drop the class, you must have your parents write a note for the Guidance Deans.
6th Grade Band: 1st hour - clarinets & saxophones; 3rd hour - flutes.
J-Jazz will meet today after school. This will be the only practice this week. Please be there!
IMEA students - please plan to stay after school today in room 122 to work on music and to get more information.
• Locker Combinations
DO NOT PRESET YOUR LOCKER COMBINATION! When you do this, you are leaving your locker open to anyone getting in to it. Memorize your combination!
• Dropping Off
Students: please tell your parents that you may not be dropped off in the bus area on Allis Street. All students must be dropped off on the 14th Street side of the school. This is the street closest to the gym entrance.
• Dress Code
This is the last week that you will be allowed to wear shorts!
Students — T-shirts worn beneath your polo shirt must be either white or the same color as your polo shirt. No exceptions!
Also, sweat pants are not allowed as part of Jefferson's dress code!
Teachers — if there is a student in violation of the dress code, please fill out a minor referral and call for an escort to room 110.
• Cell Phones
Please remember that all cell phones must be in your lockers. You may not have them out during the school day. If you are seen with your cell phone, it will be taken away from you. A parent will have to come to school to retrieve your phone from the main office.
