2012 Red Ribbon Week

Today kicks off Red Ribbon Week! Here is a list of our planned activities.

Monday, October 22 ~ PEACE PIN DAY
Our school-wide essay contest begins today. Students can submit an essay about how they can help to “keep the peace” in our homes, school, and community. Mrs. Rennison will be distributing PEACE PINS to students who are being peaceful citizens.

Tuesday, October 23 ~ TYE DYE DAY
Students and staff are encouraged to wear tye-dye shirts with their uniform pants today to show their support for a drug free home. Mrs. Rennison will be handing out prizes to students caught doing an act of kindness for someone else.

Wednesday, October 24 ~ DON’T LET DRUGS GIVE YOU THE BLUES
Students and staff are encouraged to wear blue jeans with their uniform shirt today to show their support for a drug free school. Mrs. Rennison will be distributing drug-free pencils to students who are demonstrating RESPECT at JMS.

Thursday, October 25 ~ WEAR RED DAY (early dismissal)
Students and staff are encouraged to wear red shirts with their uniform pants today to show their support for a drug free community.
