Cross Country - Any male or female student interested in joining cross country this year please see Coach Garcia in the gym during school or in the north gym after school. Don't miss out on a great Lanphier tradition.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors - PSAT Testing will be held on October 17, 2012, at Lanphier High School. The PSAT will be given to interested sophomores and juniors on Wednesday, October 17th, 2012, from 8:24 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The deadline for PSAT test registration is September 20, 2012. Any sophomore or junior who wishes to take the PSAT should register in the Guidance Office. There is a $14.00 fee (cash or check made payable to Lanphier High School). See Ms. Vogt for more information regarding PSAT test registration.

Seniors - Lifetouch will be here Tuesday, August 28, to take yearbook pictures for any senior who was not photographed in July. Any senior retakes will be this day as well. The sitting fee is $10 and must be paid before pictures are taken. Even if you are not getting senior pictures, please have you picture taken. You will need this to get an id and be in the yearbook.

Spanish Club - Applications are now available outside room 240. You do not have to be in a Spanish class or speak Spanish to be in Spanish Club.

Flags - Anyone interested in being on the flag line can audition after school today immediately after school. Come to room 116. No experience is required.

Reminder - Just a reminder from Officer Groth, to all staff and students............. You may not use a cell phone while driving in a school zone. With the start of the school year we have a lot of extra officers in the area and they will be watching for this violation.

The library will be open for checkout today.

City Bus - Students you must catch this bus in front of Lanphier on 11th street. These buses wait for 5 minutes and then depart. The city bus will not stop on 9th street by McDonalds.

Environmental Club - There will be a meeting and work day in garden on Monday August 27th, this is a change because of scheduling. Please come to meeting at 3:40 in room 135. After meeting we will be working on making the garden look good for open house.

Students - Next Wednesday, August 29th Lanphier will be having its annual Open House from 5-7 pm. Please invite your parents to come out and meet your teachers. While your parents meet your teachers you and your siblings can have fun in the bounce house and soaking your favorite teacher at the dunk tank. We look forward to seeing you all there."

Show Choir - Thanks to those who auditioned for show choir last night. The results will be posted outside the choir room door after school today.

Volleyball - The varsity volleyball team lost to Springfield High School last night in two games. Ashley Padilla led the team with 4 kills and 3 blocks. The Junior Varsity also lost in two games. Both teams competed hard and were very competitive. The team would like to thank the tremendous crowd for their support. Great job and we need you for home games this season!
