The ladies of AKA sorority will be at Lanphier High School on Monday, October 1, 2012 during A and B lunch.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Nu Omicron Omega graduate chapter will host its 16th Annual Miss Fashionetta ™ Debutante Ball on March 30, 2013 at the Springfield Crowne Plaza Hotel. The purpose of the program is to introduce junior and senior high school young ladies to society and their community while acknowledging their efforts and endeavors. The program provides opportunity for learning, self development and bonding. The ladies compete for scholarships and are offered opportunities to participate in community service as well as educational and cultural activities. In addition, escorts and debutantes alike are eligible to compete for community scholarships and book stipends given by the chapter.

The sorority is committed to making the experience noteworthy and memorable for the participants. It is meant to show the youth of our community in a positive and uplifting light.

Fashionetta is held in high esteem by the sorority and we are proud to showcase these young ladies and gentleman. It is our hope that each participant will set realistic life and educational goals and be able to pursue them.
