Congratulations to the Girls Softball team on their amazing 11 inning victory over the Southeast Spartans.  Brittney Garland was a beast in the circle going all 11 innings and striking out 9 along with hitting 2 doubles.  Vivian Lee had the game winning hit to score Hannah Motley! Great WIN LIONS!!

 

Good Morning Lanphier!

The girls team finished 4th out of 17 teams in the Lincoln Sectionals held at Memorial Stadium.

We qualified 4 events to state:

Jaylen Muldrow and Martrice Brooks qualified in the 100. 

Jaylen qualified in the 400.

Jaylen,Leah Newman,Lezhauria Williams and Martrice qualified in the 4x100 relay.

Martrice,Leah,Cheyenne Trotter and Lezhauria qualified in the 4x200 relay.

They will be representing our school at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston,IL this weekend!  When you see these girls congratulate them on a job well done.

Thank You All for the support you have shown to the Lady Tracksters this year and throughout!

Attention Students:
Senior year book distribution will be tomorrow, May 16th during your Senior Picnic. Underclass distribution will be Friday, after school in Room 104. There will be lists posted outside of each of the offices. Please check to see if you are on the list. If you have not purchased a year book, but want to, they will be on sale for $65 until we sell out. We only have about 30 copies remaining so, buy yours as soon as you can! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Vargas in room 313.

 

Attention Sophomores — Jostens will be here on Wednesday, May 22, in the Large Commons at 8:00 a.m. to deliver sophomore class rings. Rings paid in full will be handed out during a “Special Ring Turning Event." Students who are eligible for the Custom Jacket will also receive their Jacket with paid balances.

 

Attention Students: Final Exam Exemption Forms will be available beginning Monday, May 20th. Please note that only students who meet all the exemption criteria will be allowed to exempt finals. The following grade level criteria apply to all students wishing to exempt:  Student must have 4 or fewer excused absences per class, not total for the semester, If a student receives any type of out of school suspension, he/she is required to take the exam.  A student must have a “B” or “A” as the grade for both quarters, and you will receive the lower grade for the semester if you exempt. Please see the exemption form for a complete list of rules.  If all areas are met:

Freshman can earn 1 exemption,

Sophomores can earn 2 exemptions,

Juniors can earn 3 exemptions,

Seniors can earn 3 exemptions.

Please turn your forms into your teachers you are wanting to exempt, by Tuesday May 28th.

STUDENTS & STAFF:  All vending machines for drinks and snacks are now on a computerized timer.  Reminder change for students is only available during the same times.  Students should not be out of class to get change or go to vending machines.

 

The Lanphier Boys Soccer team is looking for some new players.  If you are athletic and in good shape, even if you don’t have much experience with soccer, there is room for you on the team this fall.  If you are willing to work and can be a team player, come on out.  Stop by Coach Casey’s room, room 235, between classes or after school to give him your contact information."
