CollegeBoard and Khan Academy Offer Students Free SAT Test Practice

The CollegeBoard has partnered with Khan Academy to provide a personalized SAT test prep program for every student. Select this link to learn more about FREE SAT diagnostic quizzes, interactive practice questions, and full-length practice tests that are available to all students.

Juniors-- Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) -- Oct. 19, 2016

The PSAT/NMSQT test will be administered at Lanphier High School on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Each year, this test is open to junior-level students, and only junior-level/third-year students are eligible to be considered as candidates for the National Merit® Scholarship Program. A limited number of fee waivers are available to qualifying juniors. All students who take the PSAT/NMSQT will receive detailed test feedback and a unique SAT practice plan provided by Khan Academy at no additional cost to students. For more information, interested students should speak with Ms. Vogt in the Academic Office.

Sophomores--Optional PSAT 10 Test -- February 28, 2017

Last year, the CollegeBoard introduced the PSAT 10 test for the first time as an optional “practice" SAT exam designed specifically for sophomore-level students. The PSAT 10 test provides 10th grade students with the experience of taking a “practice" SAT test in order to help them better prepare for the SAT exam. This year the PSAT 10 will be administered to registered sophomore students on February 28, 2017. Students may begin registering for the test in November, and the deadline for test registration is January 20, 2017. The cost of the PSAT 10 test is $15, and checks may be made payable to Lanphier High School. Any sophomore student who wishes to take the PSAT 10 test must register with Ms. Vogt. Students can learn more about the PSAT 10 test by visiting the CollegeBoard website at www.collegeboard.org.

Advanced Placement (A.P.) 2016-17 Exam Schedule

The following AP Exam schedule for 2016-2017 includes a list of AP exams that correlate with Advanced Placement courses offered at Lanphier High School. Advanced Placement exams will be held from May 1 - May 12, 2017. There is a fee for each AP exam, and checks/money orders should be made payable to Lanphier High School with the student's first and last name and the name/s of the specific AP exam/s written on the memo line of the check. Students who wish to take the AP exams should speak to their AP teachers, and they should also register with Ms. Vogt in the Academic/Guidance Office. **Qualifying students may be eligible for an AP exam fee waiver.
