Lawrence Education Center adult education registration

Jul 30, 2018 For the 2018-19 school year Lawrence Education Center's registration will begin on Mon., August 6 and continue on Tues., August 7, Weds., August 8, and Thurs., August 9, from 8:30-noon.   Registration will continue the next week, Mon., August 13, Tues., August 14, and Weds. August 15. Starting August 21, registration will be every Tues., Weds., and Thurs., from 8:30-noon. Please use west door. Call 525-3233 for more information.

Lawrence Education Center Graduation Ceremony

May 29, 2018 The ceremony will be held at Springfield High School, and  will start at 7:00 pm. Graduating students should arrive at Springfield High School south door starting at 5:45 to check in and be fitted for their cap and gown. A group picture will be at 6:30. 

Taste of Soul at LEC

Feb 9, 2018 Thanks you staff member Kim Wilson and the Daughters of ELKS Temple, Sarah Price Temple #1267, for providng the Black History Month Taste of Soul food today at Lawrence Education Center. All students and staff enjoyed the food and conversation at lunch time.

LEC will have Night Credit Recovery tonight, Weds. January 17

Jan 15, 2018 Lawrence Education Center will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, due to the combination of predicted temperature and windchill factor. Please follow District 186 website for more information.

Jan 3, 2018 LEC is part of District 186. All programs have  been cancelled for Thursday, Jan. 4.  LEC will have registration on Friday, January 5 for new adult education students. Stay warm.

Hour of Code

Dec 21, 2017 Computer Science Education Week was December 4-10, and the Hour of Code was one way teachers could draw attention to the importance of computer science to prepare our students for college and careers. Mr. Kinder, Ms. Cherrone, and Ms. Reed participated in the Hour of Code.  They learned how to  make computer programming accessible to everyone through fun, quick lessons, which included Drawing with code, Creating webpages, and Creating SQL databases.
