Congratulations to Lawrence Education Center's cafeteria manager, Brandi Spradlin, for receiving a 2011 GOLD AWARD from the Sangamon County Department of Public Health. Because of she demonstrates a commitment to food safety, Lawrence Education Center's cafeteria was able to receive the award. It is only given to those establishments that maintain high inspection scores of no more than eight demerits and having no violations that required a return visit in 2011.
The Gold Award criteria are based on each establishment’s 2011 calendar year inspection history. These criteria include maintaining an inspection score of no more than eight demerit points for high risk facilities, no more than five demerit points for medium risk facilities, no more than three demerit points for low risk facilities, and having no violations that require a return visit.
This is the 13th year that award has been presented to Sangamon County food service establishments who have demonstrated their commitment to food safety.
This is the second year that Brandi has received this award. We are very proud of our sparkling clean cafeteria and congratulate Brandi for a job well done!



Congratulations, Brandi! What an accomplishment! There are over 1,200 eating establishments in Sangamon County, and only a couple hundred receive this award! Even less than that receive it for multiple years. I'm really proud of you!
