Location and Hours

The library is located on the first floor in Room 109 of the Lawrence Education Center. The library is available for the school's students to check out books on the days that school is in session, however, the hours vary daily.

Tourists and other guests may visit the library from mid September through mid May anytime on Mondays from 8:30am-3:00pm, Tuesday through Thursday 8:30am-7:00pm, Friday 8:30am-3:00pm. During the summer months call 525-3233 for current hours.

Personnel

The library is staffed with a number of volunteers, interns, and students. Please contact us if you wish to be a library volunteer or if you wish to donate any items to the library.

Circulation

Circulation records are maintained through Follett's Circulation Plus program. All books have been bar coded with corresponding MARC records entered into the computer. Records are kept on an iMac Computer.

* Books - Regular two-week circulation
* Reference - Used in house except general encyclopedias housed in reference room.
* Magazines and Vertical File Materials - Ebsco MiddleSearch CD-ROMs
* Accellerated Reader - Books are located on special shelves
Three books may be checked out at a time at the circulation desk for a period of two weeks. Books are returned in the bookdrop located at the librarian's desk.

Reserve

A reserve system is maintained so that all materials remain available to all classes. Reserved materials are kept on the shelves behind the main desk and are not to be taken out of the library.

Overdue Policy

Overdue lists are printed weekly updated in the computer. Students can receive individual reminders if requested. It is possible that graduation will be denied to any student whose books have not been returned, replaced, or paid for. Students with overdue or lost books are not allowed to check out more books until their record has been cleared.
