The 2017-2018 Yearbook is coming to Lee School!

Aug 23, 2017 We are excited to announce that we are having a Lifetouch yearbook this year! Order forms have been sent home in folders.  You may also request one by asking Mrs. Tinsley in the office.  217-585-5828.  The price is only $15 and this is the first year that the entire book will be in COLOR!  

Parent Teacher Home Visit Project Coming to Lee

Aug 20, 2017 This year we are excited to introduce the Parent Teacher Home Visit Project (PTHVP). In fact, we will be the first school in Illinois to participate in the program! PTHVP is an opportunity for teachers to learn from families. Participation is voluntary for both the teacher and the family. We strongly believe that relationships matter, that's why we have decided to adopt this model to better understand our students. READ MORE

Lee Family Day is Tuesday, August 29th

Aug 19, 2017 Our third annual Lee School family day is Tuesday, August 29. We offer three options for families to come visit our school and enjoy a free meal.  These will include breakfast, lunch, or dinner. More information to come!

Lee Students Will Remain Inside During the Solar Eclipse

Aug 14, 2017 Monday, August 21st is the first day of school, which also happens to coincide with a historic solar eclipse that afternoon. All Lee School students will remain inside during the eclipse, no one will be allowed outside for their safety. Students will instead view NASA's live feed of the eclipse online in their classrooms.

Spring Break is Almost Here!

Apr 4, 2017 Spring Break is coming! Students have no school April 10-14, with students returning to school on Monday, April 17.

Generation to Generation Learning about African-American Heroes Celebration

Mar 13, 2017 The K-2 classes at Lee School had a wonderful time at our Generation to Generation Learning about African-American Heroes Celebration. This culminating event featured the use of technology in the one to one iPad classrooms with presentations from students using QR codes and the Padlet app. William Bryant, Frank Parker and Sam Telford also played some Jazz music for us!  To view photos and videos from the event, click here.
